The Cantina Sociale di Quistello was formed in 1928 by a group of winemakers with the common goal of turning their grapes into wine and then marketing it; a goal that is now stronger than ever. The production area expands along the banks of the river Secchia. It boasts an average contribution of 50,000 tons of grapes, produced by 200 members. 90% of the grapes are obtained from Lambrusco grape varieties such as Grappello Ruberti, Marani, Maestri, Salamino, Ancellotta Fortana Uva or gold; white grapes from Trebbiano and Chardonnay.
All members follow integrated pest management systems with low environmental impact for the production of grapes in order to guarantee the authenticity of the product. All processing steps, from the transfer of the grapes to the marketing of wine in the bottle or carboy, take place internally, in the name of autonomy, for the optimization of value for money.
The company is certified to ISO 9001 quistellese. In 2008 the winery was subject to both productive and administrative controls of the quality of the process, and traceability of materials that contribute to the finished product. "Oscar for money" and "Duebicchieri" prizes attributed by Gambero Rosso are the awards that have distinguished the company since the 90s.
Direct sale to the public from Monday to Friday 8.00 to 12.00 and 14,30-18,00; Saturday morning from 8.00 to 12.00
